The mission of The Children's Shelter is to improve the lives of children and families, with a focus on youth at-risk in Douglas County and northeast Kansas. The nonprofit social service agency provides a variety of services designed to strengthen families and children who are experiencing major changes.
One of the Shelter鈥檚 primary fundraisers is the . For more than 30 years, families, businesses, and clubs donate themed Christmas trees and holiday decor displayed for the community to enjoy throughout the week.

Even with a safely distanced event in 2020 (virtual silent and live-streamed auction), 最新麻豆原创 was able to bid on items and hold the traditional raffle.
Congratulations to Fleet Manager Tosha Nazarenko and Senior Estimator Joe Camren on winning the 2020 raffle. Tosha took home a bottle cap art truck sign and $25 gift card to Mass Street Soda in Lawrence, and Joe won a 50 x 66-inch reversible Christmas quilt.
