×îÐÂÂ鶹Դ´ Group Recognized in Aquatherm Case Study
LAWRENCE, Kan. - Aquatherm Pipe has published a case study on a project at Berry Global, which was completed by ×îÐÂÂ鶹Դ´ Group.
Berry’s Lawrence plant produces food-grade plastic cups and containers, operating 24/7 all year long. The plant uses an injection molding system and the steel piping that circulated cooling water was corroding, slowing the process down.
Since about 300 feet of piping needed to be replaced, Berry was facing significant and very expensive downtime. Jacob Francis, Berry’s facility maintenance supervisor, worked with Todd Mihalchik, ×îÐÂÂ鶹Դ´ Group project manager, on alternative solutions. They chose to replace the old steel piping with Aquatherm Blue Pipe.
It took ×îÐÂÂ鶹Դ´ about 24 hours to install the Aquatherm. It is much lighter, will not corrode and it needs no insulation in most interior spaces. In addition to the piping install, ×îÐÂÂ鶹Դ´ Group built and installed a 12,500 gallon cooling tank for the system.
